To Whom it May Concern:
It is my pleasure to recommend Jeff Mann as a workshop facilitator/artist. He is an accomplished painter/sculptor in his own right, and recently ran an educational program for the North Country Arts Council’s Summer Festival called “Tread on Me T-shirts”. With his guidance, the public worked on creating beautiful motifs for t-shirts using a printing process with automotive tires. People rolled paint onto the tires and then rolled the tires over the t-shirts.
This project, of Jeff’s original design, was one of the most popular events of the festival, and for good reason. Jeff planned for every contingency. The workspace was well organized and the teaching process thought out thoroughly. His interactions with the “students” were positive, encouraging, and with a sense of fun. Additionally, he managed a small staff of volunteers, giving them a simple but effective training in the morning, so that they could assist in helping with the flow of the day. The volunteers were excellent and the group proved to be a wonderful team, a credit to Jeff as leader.
While this is the only project I have worked on with Jeff, he has proven to be a creative individual who is a good communicator and a caring teacher who would be an asset to any program he is involved with.
